An SMB email platform offered list cleaning as a paid add-on — and customers loved it
Their users imported lists of every age and quality. Adding a verification add-on protected the platform's shared sending IPs and turned hygiene into a revenue line.
Persona: A small-business email-marketing platform
What was breaking
On a shared sending pool, one customer's dirty list contaminates everyone else's deliverability. The platform needed a way to make hygiene the default for new imports without forcing every SMB user to learn a separate tool, and without adding their own engineering team to maintain a verification stack.
How emailzeno fit the workflow
They embedded the emailzeno bulk API behind their import flow. New uploads were sampled at import time; users got a one-click "verify the whole list" upsell for credits. Existing CRM segments could be batch-verified on a schedule. The audit trail of credits-spent fed both billing and customer success.
What changed
Shared-pool deliverability stabilised: ISP complaint rates fell across the customer base. The verification add-on became a meaningful revenue stream, and CS spent less time on deliverability tickets because the worst lists never sent in the first place.
“Embedding verification turned "your list is the problem" from a support ticket into a one-click product feature.”
The emailzeno building blocks
Bulk API at platform scale
Submit jobs up to 10 M rows. Results stream back per-domain so you can render progress in the customer's UI rather than spinning a static loader.
Per-tenant credit accounting
Use the API's per-job metadata to bill each downstream customer separately while you negotiate volume pricing as the platform.
White-label friendly
No emailzeno branding required in the customer-facing flow. Surface results under your own UI; we're infrastructure.
